Facebook Graph Search: What the Internet is Saying
The Internet has spoken! 24 hours after Facebook announced the launch of Graph Search, check out the keywords that are trending online.
“Wall Street’s not impressed” and Facebook stock were popular topics, referring to the drop in Facebook’s stock after the announcement. Online reviews of the new initiative have been in Facebook’s favour, but it may take longer for investors to get on board.
Another big trender was Bing, the Microsoft-based web search engine that has partnered with Facebook. Bing is the underdog of search engines, but people are wondering if their role in Graph Search will turn that around.
Google search, Facebook search and social search were common keywords, and it’s no wonder why. Graph Search is like Google for your social network; it will allow users to search for people, places, and photos based on their existing interests and connections. Zuckerberg insists Graph Search will not compete with Google, but is focused on helping users to expand and discover their own networks.
What do you think – could social searching replace Googling?
